Standers
You may be feeling hopeless and confused or just don’t know where to begin.
The feelings you’re feeling are normal. However, you cannot defeat the enemy in your marriage based on emotions. You cannot fight spiritual battles using emotions. You must stand and fight using the word of God.
EMOTIONS ARE NOT SOLID.
Emotions are like quicksand. Emotions come and go yet carry so much damage and pain when you obey them. You cannot win this battle until you win over your emotions.
Your thoughts alone must submit to the word of God! Your emotions will play on repeat in your mind if you allow them! Your emotions have a genre of their own. If I could compare emotions to any genre of music, I would compare them to heavy metal because our emotions can be loud, toxic, and damaging to our minds!
Your job is to follow God over the thoughts playing on repeat in your mind called emotions. You cannot obey your emotions. Your emotions must obey God.
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalt itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity to the obedience of Christ. -2 Corinthians 10:5
The word of God is our rock and fortress when the storm comes nothing can wash it away. I mean NOTHING AND NO ONE! Your marriage shall be built on the rock, not your feelings! You must be wise and seek the wisdom of God for your marriage. - Matthew 7:24-27.
I know you may feel it's too late and your marriage has been washed away in the storm. Can I tell you It's never too late!
Your marriage must be rebuilt on the word of God. If the foundation is faulty, what can you do?
REBUILD!
